How the calculation works
Paid-per-view deals pay a set rate for every 1,000 views a video gets, often called the CPM. Earnings for one video are simply your views divided by 1,000, times the rate. Multiply that by how many paid videos you post in a month, and by 12 for a year.
On Cr8, each campaign shows its rate up front, and the views a video gets in its first 7 days count. Most rates fall between $0.50 and $2 per 1,000 views. The result is an estimate: real views vary from video to video, and a campaign stops paying when its budget is used up.
How to earn more per video
- Pick campaigns that fit your audience. A brand your viewers already care about gets watched to the end, and shared.
- Hook in the first second. Most of a video's views come in its first few days, so the opening decides how far it travels.
- Follow the brief closely. Videos that miss the brief can be paid less or not at all.
- Post more than once. Several videos for a campaign give you several chances at a breakout.
